Privacy Policy

How we handle information collected through this website. Last updated August 2026.

Curseaden Law Office PLLC (“the firm”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Our contact form and the chat widget on this site are provided by third-party intake platforms (CaseClimb and LeadConnector). When you submit the form or start a chat, the information you enter — typically your name, phone number, and your message — is transmitted to and stored by that provider on our behalf before it reaches us. If you call or email us, we collect whatever you choose to share in that communication.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site may automatically collect standard technical information through analytics — pages viewed, time on page, approximate geographic region, referring website, browser type, and device type. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and schedule a consultation
  • To run a conflicts check before agreeing to represent you, as professional rules require
  • To provide legal services if you become a client
  • To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site
  • To comply with legal and professional obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it to send marketing you did not ask for.

Cookies and analytics

This website may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf; information about how Google handles that data is available in Google's own privacy documentation. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using this site.

Embedded third-party content also sets its own cookies and local storage, which we do not control: the Google Map on our contact page, the CaseClimb contact form, and the LeadConnector chat widget. The chat widget in particular may retain your conversation on your device so it persists between visits.

Confidentiality and the contact form

Submitting the contact form does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information you send before we agree in writing to represent you is not protected by the attorney-client privilege. Please keep form submissions general and avoid sending confidential details. See our Disclaimer for more.

Once you become a client, your information is protected by the confidentiality obligations that Massachusetts professional rules impose on attorneys — obligations considerably broader than this privacy policy.

Sharing your information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the firm and this website — for example, email, website hosting, analytics, and the client-intake platforms that power our contact form and chat widget — and only to the extent needed to provide those services. Those providers process enquiry data on our behalf under their own terms. We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or the rules governing attorney conduct.

Retention

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you, to run conflicts checks, and to meet our professional record-keeping obligations. Client files are retained under the firm's file-retention practices and applicable Massachusetts rules.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information submitted through this site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not use this website to transmit sensitive personal information such as account numbers or government identification numbers.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to our professional and legal obligations to retain certain records. Contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
